[CAUT] New suggestions for practice room pianos

Hi Dan,

The only thing I don't like about the U-1 is the music rack--it's little, the screws either get loose, strip out or the rack just gets battered. I like the P-22 case, but the newest P-22s have had very tight tuning pins.

Dear list members,

Our music departent was awarded enough money to replace about 15 verticals for the practice rooms, and the dean asked if I could suggest which models to look into.

Right how we're leaning toward U-1's. What do you like/don't like, and why?

I know we have dealt with brand comparisons on this list in the past, but I am suspecting that the market may have undergone some changes since those discussions.

Also any recommendations as far as who is good to deal with in the southeast (Atlanta or Birmingham), would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance for your ideas,
