Listserv issue

Hello all,

The listserv was a major topic during the College & University Technician's
meeting in Albuqureque.  Due to all of the concerns raised during this
particular session, a study group was formed to research alternatives and try
to find the most feasible means of insuring that the electronic forum
continues.  As soon as this group manages to develop some sort of plan, based
on the collective research, it will be presented in hopes of helping all of
us.  At this point speculation would most likely only lead to misunderstaning
and rumors.  Everyone can rest assured that every effort is being made to
maintain the open lines of communication that have been established over the
last year and best meet the needs of everyone involved.

I hope that this serves to put some worries to rest that the problem is being
systematically addressed.
