>From Information about Pianotech:
The 'pianotech' list was created to serve the needs of college
and university technicians. It is an unmoderated list originating from
Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. The list owner is Jack Reeves
jack_reeves@byu.edu
'listserv' is what the software is called, and it allows discussion groups to
be set up in email with a minimum of effort. Anyone can subscribe and
unsubscribe at will. You subscribe by sending an email message to
listserv@byu.edu with nothing in the subject and this in the body:
subscribe pianotech firstname lastname
The program gets your address automatically from your
message header.
To unsubscribe send to listserv@byu.edu and say unsubscribe
pianotech
(no name is needed to unsubscribe).
You can send a letter to the group by addressing it to the mailing list
pianotech@byu.edu and it goes to every
subscriber.
For more information on listserv send an email message to
listserv@byu.edu and in the body of the message
say
help
You will get a three page reply from listserv giving more
information, the most important of which is the 'review' request which gives
a listing of all subscribers to the pianotech list.
