cracked plate

To those who gave advice:

Thank you for the advice, however, I lost it.  I saved the mail to print
later and David Copperfield broke into my computer and made it disappear,
yea, that's the ticket.  Please respond again to my request for advice on
repairing a 1880 Bechstein 7' plate.  The top (treble) strut has a small
crack.
