I am considering the etc, etc i don't have any answers for the above request, but i do have a couple of questions myself, and having read this group for a month, i am impressed by the great ideas, and encouragement shared. here's my connundrums....... 1] I frequently move pianos as a function of my business... and have yet to find a way to move grands with less than three people, ie one for each corner. i operate on the assumption that it is not a safe procedure to lower the left end of the keyboard to the skid leaving the far ( from the keyboard ) end still standing on a now 45 degree angled leg. I have one of the movers support the weight as we raise it to a vertical position. (i'd hate to find myself explaining to Mrs. Jones what made the horrendous crash as the leg broke off !!) perhaps I am missing some technique here, or am too cautious ?? 2] Does any one know of a quick release system for the grang lyre. The local highschool has a lovely Heintzman grand mounted on a spyder, and when moving this piano to a performance location, some eager students hit a raised hydro outlet, snapping off the lyre, which will now need to be rebuilt, again. ?? ideas.....? thanks Jim Kinnear Kinnear Piano Services Collingwood, Canada
