a broken plate on a model L is only an economic setback, I think.
The factory can replace it, but I think it will require a complete Belly 1
job.
Not a bad deal actually, there will be a factory warranty on the work, and
with a good action rebuild and finish,  the piano should sell for almost what
a new one goes for.
