I use an insta-coiler all the time, except when restringing. Back the pin out three turns, put wire into becket hole. set coil maker so wire fits into slot, using tuning hammer turn 2.5 coils onto pin, and it is done, except for the other side. It works where you cannot get your fingers into, like the bottom of the middle section, it works on uprights, spinets and other PSOs. It would not like to be without mine. I did notice the ones sold by APSCO should have the bottum of the wire notch ground to less than 1/8". Newton nhunt@rci.rutgers.edu
