Yes, there is an effective way to bend the guide pins, but I recommend it only
when every thing else has been eleminated as the cause.
Using a pair of vise grips clamp the wood above and below the pin to preven
splitting the key frame.
Use the tuning hammer as a lever the pin can be bent upward in small incaments
until the desired closure has occurred.
