The probility of improving repitition by throwing the action out of design
d\specifications is extremely remote.  You can experiment but make sure you can
return the action of original spec.  I would be more inclined to add a little
weight to the back of the keys to increase touch weight and maybe increase
repitition.  The most critical eliment of performance on a vertical action is
that the hammer shank does not go past vertical when the hammer is on the
string.

You might also consider a very small weight at the end of the wippen near the
backcheck and bridle wires.  This may increase rep.  Try a few and see.

I have often thought that the major complaints of pianists about verticals is
that the vertical action has much less mass than does a grand piano and
therefore much less inertia.  Perhaps a series of lead weights in the front of
the key and some in the rear half of the key to maintain touch and balance
weight.
