I think I will be able to help you. The information I have is a little confusing.
The first bass string is listed as Note 8E. The last bass string is listed as
Note 44E Right (actually the 37th key.) This would mean a total of 59
bass strings. (Schaff will be able to help you with the bass strings.)

The treble wire begins on Note 45F (which is actually the 38th key):

45F ~ 51B #17
52C ~ 57F #16 1/2
58F# ~ 63B #16
64C ~ 71G #15 1/2
72G# ~ 76C #15
77C# ~ 80E #14

I hope this gives you the information you need.

Does anyone have a copy of the stringing scale for a Yamaha CP-70
electric grand? It's not in John Travis' book (I have the 2nd edition -
I think that's the latest edition) and the Yamaha service department
does not have it in writing anywhere. It's not in the Yamaha service
manual. In fact, Yamaha suggested I call Schaff, unfortunalely, that's
no help on the treble strings.

Any help will be appreciated. My 24-hour fax line is (409) 736-0303.

Thanks again. . .
