Dear List,

I just finished repairing abouit 18 chipped ivories on a old
Cable Grand. Beautiful white ivories. No yellowing. I just
felt compelled to recommend Richard Wagner's "AcryliKey" ivory
chip repairs. He advertises in the Journal. 503-624-7360.

The first time I worked with it I had a few problems that I
decided were too much pigment. As he recommends just a couple
grains of the white are needed to 5 drops of the liquid.
(Whatever it is). The final repair is sanded down and when
buffed looks just like the ivory...with the sheen of the real
thing. White ivories are the easiest. Yellow ones need some
experimenting, but it is a great repair.
