Capital City just wrote about a "stencil" piano assembled in
Holland.

I have a regular setup to tune a similar piano, in fact tuned it
today. No name on the key cover or on the plate, but stamped on
the plate are the words "Made in the European Community. Assembly
in The Netherlands."

On opening the piano one gets a preliminary impression of neat
craftsmanship, but having said that, I will say no more. Who made
the piano?

While living in Germany in the 1960's, I did some servicing for a
dealer who among other brands sold Lindner pianos made in Ireland.
Keys were entirely of plastic and key height was regulated by a
screw. Evidently they were also sold in the U.S. under the name
"Thomas" as I have recently gained a client who expects me to keep
hers up. The plate is welded pieces of formed metal. Are you
familiar with them? Any suggestions on how to reinsert loose
hammer flanges (wedged into a tapered slot rather than screwed)?
