Phil,  You might also see if there are whippon helper springs on the
whippon flanges compared to the rest of the action not having them.
Back in the 60's I was friends with a Paul Bondi here in St. Louis when I
was in the army.  He was a truck driver, short in stature but long in being
a great guy.  From you postings and progress I have noticed since you began
posting I'd say the latter certainly applies to you.
