Jan,

It sounds as if you have done a good job of regulating this action.

If the drop is okay and the tops of the drop screws clear the bottom of the
pinblock when you remove the action, I wouldn't worry about it. The problem
is that the felt or leather on the top of the balancier which contacts the
drop screw is too thick. You can remove the wippens and replace the cloth
with thinner material, but if the drop is regulated to your satisfaction, I
wouldn't bother with it.
