Jon Page's Taut Line

Dear List,

I hope this isn't considered a commercial plug, but I think it does have
general interest. (Jon doesn't know I'm writing this.)

Yesterday, for the first time, I used the Taut Line which Jon Page
<jpage@capecod.net> invented. It takes the place of a let-off rack, with a
lot less fuss and great, easy visibility. Also takes up almost no room in a
kit, and can be used onsite. Cost is minimal. I'm going to order a couple
spares.
