The darn plastic elbows

Folks,

     Eric has clearly had WAY too many of these things to do! I will try the
soldering-tip trick on the next set of 'softies' I run into (Thanks Eric!).

Would add one suggestion to his;
     When clamping the lifter-wire in the Vise-Grips to remove the old elbow,
grab it with the jaws at the top of what's left of the 'dead' elbow. Thus
when you zip the new elbow on it will stop at the jaws of the pliers, and be
fairly close to the correct adjustment for the piano (... depends on the
instrument, but usually lessens the amount of regulation required once they
go back in).
