Dan, Check how everything works out now, with the 2-3/4" height, within these parameters: keys high enough for sufficient dip/aftertouch with a "little" play below the fallboard but not too high in relation to the key slip. The bottom of the key should be app. 1/8" below the top of the key slip. If the 2-3/4" height fits the surrounding case parts and the necessary key dip, I'd regulate out a few sample notes and make sure everything will work. If so, go with that. Just my opinion.
