Mehlin Grand

Dan,

Check how everything works out now, with the 2-3/4" height, within
these parameters: keys high enough for sufficient dip/aftertouch with a
"little" play below the fallboard but not too high in relation to the
key slip. The bottom of the key should be app. 1/8" below the top of the
key slip.
If the 2-3/4" height fits the surrounding case parts and the necessary
key dip, I'd regulate out a few sample notes and make sure everything
will work. If so, go with that.
   Just my opinion.
