Walter, You're definately right! I oversimplified it! In Mozart and other delicate classical music, a bright obnoxious piano can be a liability to the pianist making it hard to control and get soft tones, especially if it's uneven. Voicing corrects this allowing the pianist to play lighter, thus an "easier action." On the other hand, with brilliant romantic music such as Chopin and Liszt, if the brightness needed is not there, pianists will kill themselves trying to get it.- then complain the action is too heavy. Your right, it's definately complicated. -Mike Jorgensen RPT
