Hi Les, Aaaaarg!!!! Maybe if I keep trying I'll finally get it right. :-) Sorry about all the confusion. The piano is in Wisconsin. The man who called me is in Houston. He was asking me if I thought a Henry F. Miller 6' grand was *worth* rebuilding. Not whether the price was fair. The actual work could be done in Wisconsin OR Houston. Now. As far as the K & C is concerned, I asked him if he had priced other brands in that size and if so, how much were they? He said around $18,000. or so. And I said, well........ maybe there's a *reason* there's such a difference in price! He got my point. I also told him I wouldn't even consider giving him any kind of a reasonably firm estimate without seeing the piano first. He understood. So, enough said. I'll pass on the opinions I've received about the brand(s) and he can make his decision from there. Thanks for all the input. Avery >I think we all assumed that YOU were going to do the rebuilding. Is it just me, or does >it sound like maybe they should be calling one of those 900 Psychic >Hotline numbers instead? > >Les Smith >lessmith@buffnet.net ___________________________ Avery Todd, RPT Moores School of Music University of Houston Houston, TX 77204-4893 713-743-3226 atodd@uh.edu http://www.uh.edu/music/
