Certainly that some people had already thought about this invention. It would represent a huge challenge. The torque itself that is needed to softly turn a tuning pin means that you would need a big machine. Also, the confined areas of the pins located at both ends of the piano would demand a very special design. Add to this that for each pin, you would have to adjust and secure the device by means of clamps or something like that. If you start early in the afternoon, you may hope being at home for dinner.
