That's been done several times as well. In fact, a few years ago I
believe there was a patent issued on at least one design of graphite
soundboard.  

Before someone brings up the idea of a graphite pinblock, that's been
done as well. And keys. And jacks. And plates. Let's see, have I missed
anything? Probably.
