Yes, we use a Binks HVLP gun every day. It's a Mach I hooked to a
pressure pot. I like the HVLP concept and I like the pressure pot. I
don't like the Binks gun. Were I to do it over again, I'd get either a
DeVilbiss (sp?) or a Graco. But it would definitely be HVLP.

They’re a bit tricky to get balanced with the proper air flow and nozzle
sizes, but once set up they work fine. I’ve heard some complaints about
surface quality—orange peel—but haven’t noticed that much myself. If you
do much spraying, you’ll save so much material you’ll wonder why you
didn’t switch years ago.

We also keep a couple of old cup guns around for black and plate
bronzing. It's a pain in the neck to clean out the fluid line from the
pressure pot once we've run black through them and we do more natural
finish than black pianos for some reason.
