Roger, For a temporary solution, I just used Protek. It freed the really bad ones from not even a half swing to app. 3-4 swings, so at least the notes are working OK for now. The customer has her house up for sale and will be moving in the near future. At that time we're going to discuss bringing the piano in and me (probably) repinning the action if the center pins show any signs of deterioration (thanks Susan). If not, I'll probably use the alcohol/water shrinking solution. I haven't noticed any damper sluggishness problems yet but a lot of the jacks seem a little too tight, even though they work OK. For the moment, at least. I haven't yet taken a wippen off to check them. The piano was never prepped and it needs a good going over. Especially on the regulation, so maybe all that can be done at one time. Thanks. Regards, Avery > How did you make out with the centre pins on the Samick?
