in defense of the Chickering back

Hi James:

The M&H was definitely a better and different scale from the Knabe or the
Chickering in the older days. At the very end,Aeolian made changes in the
Knabe and chickering to keep their scales the same. Until the Knight piano
came out the M&H console was the best on the market. At one time the 
Chickering had a full size drop action. That was very good. The scale was
clean. As far as consoles go, that was worthy of the name Chickering.
