Predicting string behavior

Hello Douglas,

I would be interested in seeing any behavior variations based upon
variable termination.  You monoblock analysis is interesting, showing
inh., but relates poorly to piano string behavior because of termination
differences.

I have long felt that a metal pin driven into a wooden bridge is a poor
termination system, but I have been unable to think of any viable
alternative that is reasonably doable.
