Hi Frank,
         No unless you try to tighten the bolts like a moron, remember
these systems are metal on metal the humidity factor is taken out of the
equation.
The principal reason for these systems, is the saving of time in
manufacture, for a very precise location of plate height, and not having to
reinstall a plate several times.
