Here is the first sentence from my original post:

"In the continuing saga of my first major overhaul (no "R" words here) - an old
upright - I am ready to install new hammers (Encores from Brooks). --

So, yes,  this is an upright, and I am not prepositionally challenged. I have
enough other faults.
