I've never lost any since I bent the zig-zag in the wires so that they
hook over the top of the hammers.  This also makes the mute more
perpendicular to the wires so they jam in better.  We need to figure out
how to put a string on a papps so it doesn't get in there either.  Maybe
a paper clip or safety pin would do it.

I tried the bass strip muting the way you said today and it's okay but I
think I'm still going to use a grand wedge there.

I won't be at TSA either.  I'll be visiting my daughter in Virginia that
month.  Looks like it will be next year.
