Can anyone tell me how to regulate the jacks under the old type of "pear shaped" knuckles in old grands? Sometimes there is a mark on the whippen, but often times there is nothing. None of the books I have contain any information about this. Also, I was wondering about the history of the pear shaped knuckles. When were they invented, for what reason, and are they still being used today? Do they work as well as modern ones? Thanks, Jim Turner
