In a message dated 98-06-16 09:03:31 EDT, you write: << Most of us mention PTG and/or RPT in all ads, forms, cards, etc. They don't have to ask; they will probably assume you're not if it's not mentioned. Some RPTs promote PTG almost as much as themselves so that if the client leaves the area or looks for another technician for any reason, they are much more likely to request an RPT. I've noticed an increase in inquiries about my RPT status in recent years. I'm not sure why. Carl >> I advertise the PTG and RPT in the Yellow Pages. In my newsletter I ask my customers to let me know if they are moving out of town, and I give them the name of an RPT in the area where they move to. In many cases, because I have been to every convention since Cincinnati in '78, and to numerous seminars all around the country, I know the RPT personally. This makes the cusotmer feel good about the next tuner they call. I also get calls from customers who were told specifically to get me. So thank you to those have have giving out my name.
