Especially here in Canada! If it is indeed in *excellent* condition $4K-$5K
is not unreasonable here for a large Steinway vertical. Even almost totally
trashed they can bring a thousand if they have 88 keys.

The last price I have is from 1996 when our dollar was worth more ($1
US=$1.48 CDN right now!) and for an ebony K-52 the dealer's price was
$26,877 CDN dollars (plus 7% GST). There is a 10-year old K on a showroom
floor here right now for $15,999 CDN, so that gives you an idea of their
value here.
