Hi Wally,

A 100% wool string cover with dampp-chasers (and humidistat) does a really
nice job keeping the strings and pins rust-free.  I prefer high power rods
under the sound board (and humidistat) with a string cover over the plate and
strings.  I just returned from a "service trip" to Trinidad where Dampp-
Chasers and string covers are keeping pianos in superb conditions.  You know
it works when you open the door and the ocean is right there!  Other pianos in
the same situation without Dampp-Chasers and string covers are "rusted shut".
