That may have been your point in the first place, Roger, but that isn't
what you posted.  My response to your post and your original comments was
that a person doesn't have to have the lid up to be intimate with their
instrument, and I cited one example.  It had nothing to do with regulation,
voicing, better tone, more upper harmonics, etc., with the lid open or
closed.

Now that I find somewhat humorous and definitely incongruous, considering
the previous comments you made about others.  I submit to your unique set
of values, and I wish you well in your search.
