I agree with Don, I use WD-40 (for garage type applications), but I have
found that it works well as a moisture displacer, and a -temporary-
lubricant. In my experience, it has been worthless as a "long term"
lubricant. I am not a piano tech, and would not want to argue with those
who have had good luck with it in their piano applications, but I would
immediately change technicians if I saw a
can of WD-40 near my B!
