Today I looked at a bad bass bridge. The upper 1/3 of the bridge pins have
split the wood and opened the wood. What is the better repair Fiberglas or
 epoxy?
 Thanks

Jim:

I have used super glue in cases like this. Remove the strings, squirt the
super glue in and around the crack, making sure the pins are in place, and
within five minutes, you can put the strings back on and tune thee piano.

If you think the crack is too wide for super glue, try using PC7. It will
require a second trip, but it is a very good repair.
