What to Patent - Recommend "The Patent Wars" article

There is an interesting article on recent changes to patent law in the 
January 2000 issue of Analog Science Fiction and Fact magazine. Page 52 by 
John D. Trudel. My first impression of the recent legislation is that it will 
make it difficult, if not impossible, for anyone other than a large 
corporation to obtain a useable patent, and easy for large corporations to 
steal any new filings from others with lesser means. There is a website with 
current status of legislation being railroaded through at 
http://www.trudelgroup.com/status.htm. I have not had a chance to look at the 
website yet, but I am very impressed with the article - and shocked if these 
changes have gone through.
