Before I bought my Delta I looked at both the Jet and the Delta at a woodworking show. In side by side the Delta is heavier construction and has more solid table mounting. Nothing major but a lot of little things such as 9 spokes in the top wheel for Delta and, I believe, 7 in the jet. I highly recommend a good blade. I like the low tension blades from PS Wood phone 800-939-4414. I had a very old Montgomery Wards (serial no. was probably 1 if I could have found it) that had wobbly wheels and no blade guides to speak of. These blades let me do an almost good job with this junker.
