You have no doubt heard this one before, but I was taking apart an upright for a rebuild and upon removing the keys found an entire family (6) of dead mice. It is quite common to find evidence of mice having been in the piano; it is quite another to actually find them in there. A NASTY job, to be sure, and herculean efforts were required to eliminate the olfactory evidence. 15 years later, I still service the "mouse piano". Mark Potter bases-loaded@juno.com
