Single helix has *one* groove and advances, in the case of 36tpi, 1/36th of
an inch per revolution.Double helix has *two* grooves running side by side
and would advance 1/18th of an inch per revolution at the same tpi. That's
it. Needless to say, the double helix won't fit a single helix threaded
hole. Even if I had a double helix tap to make a proper (used loosly) thread
for these ASOs, it would be a real bear to get them squared up and tight
with the fast advance rate of the double thread.
