Query: Voicing New Yamaha Hammers

Try sanding them.  Start with 100 grit and going to 300.  I have never tried 
this but the tec. who I am studying under does it this way with great results 
just remeber to sand always in the sam direction and don't touch the middle 
of the hammer unless to remove the small numb created by not sanding there.
