I think Piano 300 is sponsored by the Music Merchants. Those who contributed the biggest bucks got the biggest bang! As I recall, PTG was offered from the get-go, a major role in this exhibit. Marshall Hawkins was very excited about it 3 years ago, but PTG snubbed the idea. We were lucky we were mentioned at all! The exhibit is geared to the general public, whom, for what I have heard, think it is great. They love those action parts and models they can play with! The movie and gift shop are great. My father enjoyed it, and was especially blown away when I told him that Banshee song was played by strumming the strings! My brother was involved several years ago in restoring the supposed tool kit. I told him at the time the case was full of wood-working tools, not necessarily piano technician tools - probably used by a craftsman in a factory. The interesting part of the tool kit was not the tools but the Masonic emblem! Anyway, since I live locally, I am advertising the Piano 300 exhibit to my customers on the reminder cards I send them. I also mention the web address. It sure beats not having a piano exhibit at all!
