Wurlitzer Bass Sustain problem

Question, did the prop rod have pins on both ends and was one end longer
than the other?

one solution; if both the same length, make the top end longer by pulling
the pin, filling the hole some and then replace the pin. THEN make sure
there is sufficient room in the bass shelf for the longer pin to pivot if
the bass damper pedal is used. Otherwise the prop rod might get wedged in
the hole through the keybed and cause another call back.

PS I service a lot of "pentecostal" type black churches and have seen most
of the "torture" that a piano can be put through (i.e. the "Jerry Lee Lewis"
type)
