Greetings to all:

I am still in the process of recovering from the Guillain-Barre
Syndrome. I now have some movement in the ankle muscles and toes of the
right foot. They are still weak however. I walk on a walker about 5 laps
around a basketball gym each day. My newest variation is to push my wife
in the wheelchair 1 block down the street and back (actually she is in
good shape, I just need the ballast so the chair doesn't tip backwards).
I have exercise time everyday. I just tuned a Yamaha G5 this morning
which I restrung about 2 years ago. I like to do 1 or 2 tunings a week
just to keep my hands busy (OK, the money is alright too). I don't do
more jobs because it is a slight imposition on my wife to load me up and
get me to these jobs. (Would you believe, I really don't need the money,
it's just something to spend)

I have offered FREE coaching to any of our Arizona Associate members who
are looking to upgrade to RPT. This offer is being extended from the
month of July until Aug 15th this year. I give coaching in the Technical
exam as well as for the Tuning exam. I'm pleased at the progress
several are making. After Aug. 15th I go back to my regular coaching fee
of $20/hr. One person drives 140 miles and stays 2 days each week. She
is doing well. This past week she brought a ham pie which she shared
with us at lunch time. Earlier this summer, two who studied with me
passed their technical exams in California. I am encouraged with the
motivation shown by many of our fine associates.

Over the years I have offered coaching to many of the Randy Potter
students who desired some one-on-one instruction. If any others are
interested, they can give me a call at (480)966-9159. I have official
action models and can teach the proper use of all of the electronic
tuning devices presently available as well as coaching in the aural use
of the Baldassin Sanderson Kimbell Tremper Temperament.

Hey, I might as well be doing something useful while I am in this
wheelchair, right.
