I need to say this just for the record

Hi Dave,

Forgive me for not making it a little more plain.  So many thoughts,
feelings and emotions were swirling around in my brain...

One of the 'stand-off-ish' people who I referred to as a brand new member is
the one person who I later referred to as a high end rebuilder who said
"just let me know if there's anything I can do for you..."  As I came to be
friends with this one individual, I no longer saw him as a person out there
on a pedestal, (incidentally, a totally ridiculous idea to begin with, for
both of us,)  but as a friend, which he has become.  My perspective changed,
and his did as well as we became more acquainted.

People do have different personalities.  I understand that.  Not everyone
will end up being a close friend.  That's ok.  But there's no shortage of
wonderful people if we'll open our eyes and look.
