Why and assiciate? Why an RPT?

Interesting topic...

I joined the Sacramento Valley chapter four years ago. So far I've passed
the written, and between the business and single-parenthood I'm working on
the other two tests. I'm proud to be an associate of my chapter, and I'll be
even more proud when I become an RPT.

In my four years I have only experienced helpful advice, goodwill, tips,
and generosity above and beyond the call from the RPT's in the chapter.
Several times I've run into action or repair situations beyond my skill
level, and each time one of our RPT's eagerly went with me to get the job
done right. I've gladly forwarded the fee to them, and learned a bunch each
time. The customers were also impressed that I "called in a specialist."

From where I sit, I can only imagine that friction between RPT's and
serious associates has to be unnecessary and counterproductive.
