Marvin,

This is one of those times I wish I were as eloquent as some of our more
erudite members. Suffice to say, probably your only alternative left is to
go to your unfiled stack of papers/books, you know the one 4 feet high
behind the 3rd file cabinet from the right, spend a few minutes/hours/days
exploring, find the brand new, non-tarnished or used approx 5" x 9"
paperback usually labeled LUG (Laptop User's Guide), check the index for
numeric, turn to the page listed where you will find the first Heading reads
"using the keyboard" whose first sentence then refers you to another section
altogether. With determination, as you read through each 111 refered
sections, eventually you will discover the instructions on how to use the
overlay and turn on the numeric keypay.

(At least that's how it worked for me. <g>)
