Marvin, This is one of those times I wish I were as eloquent as some of our more erudite members. Suffice to say, probably your only alternative left is to go to your unfiled stack of papers/books, you know the one 4 feet high behind the 3rd file cabinet from the right, spend a few minutes/hours/days exploring, find the brand new, non-tarnished or used approx 5" x 9" paperback usually labeled LUG (Laptop User's Guide), check the index for numeric, turn to the page listed where you will find the first Heading reads "using the keyboard" whose first sentence then refers you to another section altogether. With determination, as you read through each 111 refered sections, eventually you will discover the instructions on how to use the overlay and turn on the numeric keypay. (At least that's how it worked for me. <g>) ©Gina ----- Original Message ----- From: Marvin McDonald <pianomarv@home.com> To: <pianotech@ptg.org> Sent: Thursday, July 27, 2000 5:19 PM Subject: Re: Copyrigt symbol > Hello Don, > I did try the alt-0169 key strokes and it does not work on my laptop.
