Mark,
I would recommend cutting out pieces of acoustic foam to put 
underneath the soundboard.  This is a product that Laroy Edwards 
sells (you have to send him the outlines of the rim/frame/etc.), but 
you could also do it yourself.  I think this is the most efficient 
way to cut down on sound production.
