Carl, I had a very similar conversation this past Saturday with a young
couple that had just gotten a Vose and Sons Upright(circa 1889) that needs
everything - they want to get it playing.

The price I quoted them to 'get it playing' would be a good down-payment on
a decent new Console..and I told them that... they won't hear of it - they
like the old girl.

I haven't heard back from them, but I suspect I will.
