This is the long term problem! The action will not be as rigid as with
new, solid rails, and your regulation will usually be irregular. I have had
many rails replaced and it makes a difference. You may perhaps skip the
let-off rail, since it doesn't receive the same loading as the other two, but
cracked ones need to be replaced.
