Kristinn -- It depends. If they are valued, longtime customers who have shown great consideration in the past, sometimes I just do it. My schedule is weird anyway because I do a lot of concert tuning on Sunday. But for the group which forgot to actually think about the fact that they might want an in-tune piano, and I don't particularly care about my standing as the most respected tuner in the nation, it's $100 as opposed to my usual $70. It took me a while to have the nerve to do that, but our island is somewhat bigger than yours and there are lots of customers. Or, they could forget it and pipe it in from a church that has one in tune and use a small video screen to communicate. Mark Graham Berea, Ohio
